The Rio Olympics were like 99% #blackgirlmagic

It was.  You saw it.  You know it.  Simone Biles, Simone Manuel, Gabby Douglas, Allyson Felix, English Gardner, Tara Bowie, Claressa Shields, Michelle Carter, Tianna Bartoletta, Natasha Hastings, Brianna Rollins, Kristi Castlin, Nia Ali, Dalilah Muhammad, Courtney Okolo, Ariana Washington, Francena Mcorory, Phyllis Francis, Britney Griner, Maya Moore, Tamika Catchings, Seimone Augustus, Angel McCoughtry, Tina Charles, Sylvia Fowles, Ibtihaj Muhammad, Brittany Reese, Taylor Ellis Watson, Mortlake Akinosun, Foluke Akinradewo, Alisha Glass, Rachael Adams, Ashleigh Johnson.

Those are the names of all of our black, female olympians who medaled.  Only the ones who medaled.  34 people.  Many of them with more than one medal.  How cool is that?

I know some will say “Why does it have to be about race?”  It doesn’t have to be.  But this is my blog and I am proud of all of our American olympians, but I am extremely proud of the ladies listed above.  It’s because Black Women are typically the only ones lifting each other up and I want to be a part of that.  These broads showed up to the Olympics and turned the party. I am so proud of them.  So in honor of all this #blackgirlmagic, I shall post some cool pics.  Okay?
