Fall TV is Back!

And for someone like me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!  Well, not really but you know what I mean.  A few things are back on already, Dancing with the Stars, American Horror Story: Roanoke, and Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars (although not a normal thing to be on in the fall) but the crux of the biscuit starts this week with all the shows that we know and love.

Of course I’m not listing them all, but here are the ones I’m most looking forward to.

September 20th

9pm.  Scream Queens.  I liked the first season, it was so campy and ridiculous and didn’t take itself to seriously.  I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for season 2.  I wonder what all will happen since this one is going to be set in a hospital…hmmm

September 21st

9pm. Law and Order: SVU.  I wonder if Benson actually did wind up taking that vacation to Paris?  Will Fin be the sergeant?  I don’t know but I will be tuning in.

9pm. Empire. Yes.  Our soapalicious show about a record label will be back and I’m mainly excited about Cookie’s wardrobe and to find out who got pushed off the side of the building on that season finale.  Was it Anika or Rhonda?

9pm. Modern Family.  I’ve loved this show since a coworker introduced it to me after season 3.  (Shout out to Kingsbury) All the good shows are on at 9pm on this night.  This is one that can wait til the next day as is SVU.  The spoilers will be too real for me to wait on watching Empire.

9:30pm. black-ish.  I love this one and am a little gutted that Tracee Ellis-Ross didn’t win the Emmy for it but what can you do?  I’ll be looking forward to this one as well.

September 22nd

No  Scandal yet, it will air midseason due to Kerry Washington’s pregnancy.  sad face.

10pm. How to Get Away with Murder is back and that show is just so full of stuff and relationships and secrets and pasts, I have no idea what to expect when it comes back on.  But I will be watching.

September 23rd

Transparent is back on Amazon!  Whew!  I just watched the first two seasons this summer and I love how none of the characters are particularly likeable.  It makes it more real.  I mean I like Maura but everyone else is kinda terrible.  But I still like it.

September 25th

7:30pm.  Bob’s Burgers.  One of my favorites for easy watching often something that I watch if I don’t feel like getting into something too heavy.

8pm. Once Upon a Time.  I’m so excited for this because I got the hubs hooked on this show this summer and we can watch it together now.  I would love to see what’s gonna happen with the Evil Queen and also hoping that there is another villain too this season.

September 30th

Luke Cage comes out on Netflix!  I will watch when I get a chance but I enjoyed the character on Jessica Jones so it should be good.

October 9th

10pm. Divorce.  This is a new show on HBO starring Sarah Jessica Parker and it looks awkward enough to be good.  I’ll give it a whirl.

10.30pm. Insecure.  My girl Issa Rae, of Awkward Black Girl and Rachetpiece theater fame, has made it.  This is her own show and I cannot wait to support it.

October 11th

9pm. Fresh Off The Boat. I like it, it’s not a must-watch for me but I keep it on my watchlist for times when I want something light and entertaining to watch.

October 29th

8 9m. Rocky Horror Picture Show starring Laverne Cox, Chrisina Milian, Victoria Justice, etc will premiere.
